Rise – How to refer
We accept referrals for mothers experiencing anxiety and depression during pregnancy and up to two years after birth. Referrals can be made by mums, family members and health professionals.
To make a referral simply contact us via email and Jess, the programme manager will be in touch to discuss the next steps.
We have courses in Dorchester and Sherborne; mothers will be referred to the most suitable location for them. We accept up to nine mothers on each course, which means there may be a waiting list. We will endeavour to do everything we can to accommodate mothers as soon as possible. We know how important it is for them to get some support so in addition to the course there will also be a private Facebook group available for any mums who are completing the course or on a wait list.
The Facebook group provides a source of support, guidance, advice and friendship from mothers who understand and are experiencing the same things. The group is administrated by our peer supporter, Lauren and project lead, Jess, meaning all conversations are confidential but that we can intervene if we are worried about the health and wellbeing of any of our members.
Courage isn’t having the strength to go on – it is going on when you don’t have strength.”
