Two new guests join Mike at Dorchester Arts for this evening’s concert. John Maddocks is a superb clarinettist, with his own acclaimed, dynamic approach to New Orleans jazz. He’s one of the most widely known and respected players on the UK scene. Nicholas D Ball is one of anew generation of drummers with a love for the hot jazz of the 1920s. Based in London, he plays with that city’s top performers and with many international visitors.

Completing the trio on piano, Mike plays the role of Jelly Roll Morton, who modestly billed himself “The Creator of Jazz”. No pressure there then! It will certainly be exciting.

The Corn Exchange is on High East Street in the heart of the town. For Sat Nav users, our postcode is DT1 1HF. Nearby parking can be found in the various town centre car parks (see map above). Unfortunately there is no parking available on site.

Our fully-licenced Corn Exchange Bar will be open half an hour before a performance starts.

Tickets can currently be purchased online or by telephone. The telephone line is manned between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday. At all other times please leave your name, telephone number and ticket requirements and we will call you back.

A £1 Future Fund levy is included in most ticket prices to support our work. This levy is included in the published ticket price. Concessionary prices (for events promoted by Dorchester Arts): where available, these are offered to under 18s, students, those in receipt of benefits and people on low income regardless of age.
