Elevate® – Dance for MS

Elevate® aims to improve the physical, mental and social wellbeing of people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

This programme, which is the first of its kind in the UK, was developed in partnership with MS specialists, University of Florida, Georgetown University, MS Society Scotland and MS Revive.

Come and enjoy dance, no experience required. These fun classes are a chance for you to explore your creativity, expression, musicality, fluidity, balance and posture. Our highly experienced dance tutors will support you, and you are welcome to bring a friend, partner or carer to join in too. Participants can take part seated or standing.

What to expect:

  • Relaxed and informal
  • Friendly and fun
  • Learn new skills and make new friends
  • 75 min class led by experienced dance artists and accompanied by live or pre-recorded music
  • Social café after the class
  • Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in
  • All levels and abilities welcome

Class details:

Dorchester:
Fridays, 10.30am – 11.45am, with a social café until 12.15pm
£5.00 per session (carers free)
Term dates: TBC
Location: The Corn Exchange, High E St, Dorchester, DT1 1HF

Sherborne:
Tuesdays, 10.30am – 11.45am, with a social café until 12.15pm
£5.00 per session (carers free)
Term dates: TBC
Location: The Scout Hut, Blackberry Lane, Sherborne, DT9 4DE
