Join Us for a FREE Workshop on the First-Generation South Asian Migrant Experience in Dorset!

We are looking for people of South Asian heritage who migrated to Dorset from outside the UK in the last 30 years to attend a workshop that explores the first-generation migrant experience. We want to understand what it’s been like for you to move to this area and how your adjustment journey has felt.

The workshops are free of charge and will help performance poet Aanka Batta and stand-up artist Raj Adgopul to combine a range of authentic voices with their own experiences in a performance project they are developing together. The aim is that pilot performances will take place in early 2025, and participants at the workshops will of course be invited to attend.

You are invited to attend any one of two workshops:

  1. Sangam Sethu: संगम सेतू – A Workshop on Language and Communication Gaps
