Buenos Aires-born troubadour Martin Alvarado is Argentina’s finest tango vocalist. His mesmerising voice has been enchanting audiences around the world for 14 years performing his acclaimed repertoire of Piazzolla, classic tangos and South American songs, as well as his own songs.
In Tango de Amor he is joined by a phenomenally creative pianist and bandoneon player from Finland, Mikko Helenius, whose cool Scandinavian personna is the perfect foil for Alvarado’s passionate Latino charisma, both bringing some surprises and comedy along the way.
Also on stage will be two of Argentine tango’s most elegant and artistic dancers, Miriam Orcutt and Dante Culcuy, World Tango Championships finalists in 2015. Get set to be transported to the sultry sensual world of Buenos Aires.
‘Totally mesmerising, a tango epiphany.’ Max Reinhardt, BBC Radio 3 Late Junction presenter
