Historical Fiction weaves a new narrative around masterpieces from the Renaissance and Baroque eras. The programme includes Handel’s Eternal Source of Light Divine and Gibbons’ The Silver Swan. Grace Davidson’s soprano voice intertwines with Christian Forshaw’s saxophone over the majestic backdrop of the organ, played by Libby Burgess, to create a performance which travels through dramatic grandeur and spacious serenity.
Christian Forshaw last visited Dorchester along with Tenebrae for their magnificent Drop, Drop Slow Tears concert, and this beautiful programme of voice, saxophone and organ makes an ideal follow-up to that memorable evening of music.
