Mike returns for the latest of his popular SpeakEasy nights. His guest is one of the most in-demand reed players on the British Jazz scene, Trevor Whiting. Trevor combines masterful improvisation on clarinet and saxophone with a rich sound that makes his playing both exciting and beautiful. He has shared the stage with many visiting American stars, played with Ken Colyer, recorded with Clare Teal, and toured with Chris Barber’s band. Today he works frequently with the UK’s top jazz musicians. Together, the duo will explore the music of Sidney Bechet, Benny Goodman and their contemporaries.

Dorchester Corn Exchange has wheelchair access and toilet facilities for wheelchair users. If you have any specific requirements, such as being seated near to the front should you be partially sighted, then please let us know when booking tickets and we are more than happy to help.

The fully-licenced bar opens half an hour before each performance.

The box office is open Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm. At all other times please leave your name, telephone number and ticket requirements and we will call you back. No booking fees are charged, but a £1 Future Fund levy is included in most ticket prices to support our work. This levy is included in the published ticket price. Concessionary prices (for events promoted by Dorchester Arts): Where available, these are offered to under 18’s, students, those in receipt of benefits and people on low income regardless of age.
